Comments: This is my first
chance to play a Fylde. I have noticed that world class players such as Tony McManus and one of my all time guitar heroes Davy Graham have and had quite a liking for them. The voice of this guitar is quite beautiful to say the least. It has a bit of that distinctive European flavor that I hear in my Sobell and other similar builders, yet it has something very much its own. While being very dynamic, it is also incredibly balanced with a high end sparkle that is both edgy and warm. The aesthetics are distinctly European with an elegant colored herringbone top purfling. Mesquite seems to be a great back and sides wood although is apparently quite rare since I have never seen it before. Most of all I love the neck on this guitar. It is easily one of the most comfortable profiles I have played. While I generally prefer a wider nut, this one feels just right. This is one of those guitars that is sure to bring a smile to your face on the first chord!
