Comments: Here is a gem from the Lakewood Custom shop. I decided to stretch a bit on this one with quite a few custom appointments and I could not be happier with the results! The detail , build quality, and playability of this guitar is absolutely stunning.
I wanted a light instrument with as much sustain and resonance as possible. To achieve this I used Rosewood for the fretboard and bridge. Rosewood fretboards add a nice clarity in the mids, and have a faster, bouncy touch, a la vintage Gibson. I also used an open pore finish, except for the top. This creates a very woody, open sound, but still has the durability on the top. As a result this guitar has the woody quality, sustain, and clarity, with lots of volume and headroom (as provided by the AAAA Euro Spruce top). This is a VERY special guitar and is an ideal instrument for someone looking for a unique and truly exiting Fingerstyle voice.
