• Comments: This is John’s very first Deep Body 12 Fret 000. It was made as a showpiece to introduce this new model. He spared no expense using some of the finest woods in his stash as well as the full abalone treatment. It is really exciting to see what a Luthier of John’s caliber can create when there are no boundaries. As you would expect, this guitar sounds as good as it looks. It has a wonderful “deep” midrange with an abundance of sweet sustain. While many Koa guitars seem a bit shimmery, this one remains very strong on the fundamentals with just enough sparkle. This just might be as good as it gets!
