- Comments: John McQuarry makes one of the best OMs in the world of handmade guitars. His instruments are made one at a time and display incredible detail and quality. While the look is traditional the sound is very modern. The additional depth of the body really adds a lot of bottom end creating a HUGE sound reminiscent of the best dreadnoughts, in a comfortable OM size. This guitar is balanced enough for the most sensitive fingerstyle work and punchy enough for aggressive flatpicking.
The Northwood OMs are my main live instruments, and I find their versatility and sound quality outstanding!.
