- Comments: This thing is a BLAST to play! It is tuned D to D with unison courses. So, to get a complete octave simply put a capo on the 2nd. This allows you to play anything you normally play, just higher. I immediately put it into my favorite open tuning and the fun has not stopped. It is chimey and full but also has plenty of punch and volume, similar to a good Mandolin. I am very impressed with the intonation and found this instrument to be extremely articulate and
easy to play. This is definitely in a class of its own with endless possibilities for both studio and live performance.
